Sister City Relationship

The "Village Hidden In The Trees"

John Marks, Mayor of Tallahassee & Huijuan Chen, Vice Mayor of the Nantong City Municipal Peoples' Government In Rugao Province, Signing The Sister City Agreement

BEI’s Chinese facility is located in Rugao within the “Rugao Economic and Technology Development District’s Special Economic Zone.” Because of Tallahassee’s connection to Rugao, the cities are in the process of forming a sister city relationship. This relationship will build global cooperation at the municipal level, promote cultural understanding and stimulate economic development.

By growing awareness and appreciation of each other’s culture and people, a partnership can be created that will continue for many generations. In order for this to happen, citizen volunteers and participants must be engaged in both the Tallahassee and Rugao communities.
