High-Level Chinese Delegation Visits Tallahassee to Pursue Energy and Technology Trading Partners, Establish Sister City Relationship
Tallahassee, Fla. – A high-level trade delegation from Rugao, China, (list is attached) will visit Tallahassee on Friday to meet with Governor Rick Scott and potential energy and technology trading partners and to seek to establish a Sister City relationship with Tallahassee. The visit is being hosted by Bing Energy, Inc. (BEI), a new Florida company working to turn revolutionary nanotechnology pioneered at Florida State University (FSU) into a better, faster, more economical and commercially viable fuel cell.
“We are honored to have this important trade delegation here in Tallahassee,” said Dean Minardi, CFO of Bing Energy, Inc. “Bing Energy has had the privilege of working with industry leaders in Rugao for the last year, and we are excited at the possibility of extending these opportunities to other Florida technology companies. This visit is the first step in building and expanding ongoing relations with Rugao.”
During the visit, members of the delegation will be touring BEI’s Tallahassee production facility, meeting with local elected officials, state and local economic development leaders and Governor Rick Scott, as well as visiting FSU’s High Performance Materials Institute, National High Magnetic Field Laboratory and Off-Grid House.
BEI’s Chinese facility is located in Rugao within the “Rugao Economic and Technology Development District’s Special Economic Zone.”
Tallahassee and Rugao are currently in the process of forming a Sister City relationship. This relationship will build global cooperation at the municipal level, promote cultural understanding and stimulate economic development.
